Dangdut Academy 8 reaches Top 31 stage

The Dangdut Academy 8 talent competition has reached its Top 31 stage. In the first group, a trio consisting of Anggini, Bhita, and Alexa received three standing ovations from judges Soimah, Nassar, and Lesti Kejora for their performance of the song ‘Egois’.

Among the contestants is 20-year-old Ari from Sampang, Madura. Before joining the competition, Ari supported himself through TikTok live streams and manual labor, including working as a construction worker on roads and foundations. He stated his primary motivation for participating is to improve his family's economic situation.
