D’Angelo posthumous album and unreleased vault material announced

D’Angelo posthumous album unreleased music Michael Jackson collaboration R&B

Luther Archer, the brother of soul singer D’Angelo, has confirmed that a posthumous album is currently being assembled. According to Archer, the project currently includes six identified tracks and is intended to feature D’Angelo’s solo work without collaborations.

In addition to the primary album, the family is considering further releases from the artist’s vault, including potential collections of B-sides and cover songs. Archer noted that the team is still reviewing unreleased material to determine the final tracklist, title, and release date.

A notable detail mentioned is the existence of a recording involving D’Angelo, Michael Jackson, and Mary J. Blige. While its inclusion in the upcoming projects has not been confirmed, the potential release of such a collaboration between three major R&B and soul figures has drawn significant interest.
