D’Angelo Russell suggests Stephen Curry move to Boston Celtics

NBA player D’Angelo Russell expressed interest in seeing Stephen Curry join the Boston Celtics during a recent episode of his Backyard Podcast. Russell suggested that Curry, currently with the Golden State Warriors, requires more support around him to remain highly competitive at the elite level.

Russell noted that while the Warriors possess a veteran presence capable of managing the final minutes of games, they may struggle to reach those decisive moments. He proposed that a move to Boston would allow Curry to play alongside Jayson Tatum and Paul George, creating a formidable lineup.

Curry, 38, averaged 26.6 points per game last season. The Warriors finished the 2025-26 campaign with a 37-45 record, placing 10th in the Western Conference and ending their season in the play-in tournament.
