Dangjin City Council holds meetings to address local community needs

The Dangjin City Council is conducting meetings with village and neighborhood leaders to address local community concerns and development requests.

During discussions in Hapdeok-eup, residents requested improved nighttime lighting at Hapdeokje Reservoir to enhance safety for evening exercisers. Officials noted that because the reservoir is a cultural heritage protection zone, installing facilities requires specific procedures, though they are considering protective landscape lighting. Additionally, concerns were raised regarding a shortage of healthcare personnel at the local public health center.

In Myeoncheon-eup, discussions focused on the development of Yeonam Park and the utilization of Myeoncheon Eupseong. Residents suggested the installation of an outdoor performance venue and traditional Korean-style pavilions to provide shade for tourists. Officials stated that while a performance venue is difficult to implement due to the site's status as a cultural heritage area, urban planning and design procedures are being prepared.
