Dangjin City declares vision for stay-over tourism transformation

Dangjin City held a vision declaration ceremony at Sapgyoho Sea Park to announce a major shift toward stay-over tourism. The event, which aimed to transform the region into a destination where visitors stay longer and consume more, attracted approximately 38,000 attendees.

The ceremony featured a large-scale drone light show involving 2,000 drones using the Larva animation characters, alongside magic performances, busking, and fireworks. Mayor Kim Ki-jae stated that the city intends to strengthen nighttime tourism content and expand the infrastructure for experiential and stay-over tourism to establish Dangjin as a representative tourism city in Chungcheongnam-do.
