Dangjin Cultural Foundation supports local artists in international art market

The Dangjin Cultural Foundation has launched a new initiative to support the distribution and sales of works by local visual artists. The project, titled ‘2026 DKAF x Dangjin Local Artist Market and Next Generation Distribution Support Project’, is designed to connect regional creators with the international art market.

In conjunction with the 2026 Daejeon International Art Fair (DKAF) held from October 1 to 4 at the Daejeon Convention Center, ten artists selected from the foundation’s ‘Artist of Dangjin’ program will participate. The program aims to expand beyond mere exhibition support to provide practical opportunities for the exhibition, sale, and distribution of artworks.

This initiative also serves to strengthen cultural networks and exchange between the Chungcheong region, including cities such as Daejeon, Gongju, Chungju, and Jinju. The foundation intends to build a foundation for sustainable cooperation in the visual arts sector.
