Dangote Cement to host London investors ahead of LSE listing

Dangote Cement Plc will host a Capital Markets Day in London on September 21, 2026, to engage international investors ahead of its proposed secondary listing on the London Stock Exchange (LSE). This move follows shareholder approval for a dual-listing structure, which will allow the company to maintain its primary listing on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) while simultaneously trading on the LSE.

The event is intended to provide stakeholders with updates on the company’s strategic roadmap, operations, and business priorities. It also offers an opportunity for global institutional investors to engage with senior management. By seeking a listing in London, the company aims to expand its visibility, attract a more diverse pool of shareholders, and potentially access funding in hard currencies to mitigate the impact of local currency volatility.

As a dominant force in the Nigerian cement industry with a pan-African footprint including operations in Senegal and Ethiopia, Dangote Cement expects the London listing to subject it to international reporting and corporate governance standards, potentially increasing investor confidence.
