Dangote Refinery cuts Nigeria aviation fuel price, adds credit facility

Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals announced a reduction in the price of Jet A1 aviation fuel in Nigeria, lowering the price from ₦1,750 to ₦1,650 per litre. The move is intended to ease the financial pressure on airline operators and help stabilise fuel supply amid rising operational costs.

The refinery also introduced a 30‑day interest‑free credit facility for marketers and airlines, backed by bank guarantees, to improve access to fuel. In addition, the company shifted from dollar‑denominated pricing to a naira‑based model, aiming to protect local buyers from foreign‑exchange volatility and provide greater pricing certainty.
