Dangote Refinery expands free fuel delivery to more Nigerian states

Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals has expanded its free petroleum product delivery initiative to include Kano, Imo, Anambra, and Nasarawa states. This expansion brings the total coverage to 14 states across Nigeria, following the initial rollout in Lagos, Ogun, Rivers, Kaduna, Abuja, and Delta.

By absorbing the costs of long-distance transportation, the refinery aims to reduce distribution expenses for independent petroleum marketers. Fatima Aliko Dangote, Group Executive Director of Commercial Operations, stated that the initiative is designed to ensure domestic refining benefits translate into tangible savings for businesses and consumers by creating room for more competitive pump prices.

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has welcomed the move, noting that it addresses longstanding logistical and financial pressures in the downstream supply chain. The initiative is expected to improve cash flow for marketers and potentially lower petrol prices for the general public.
