Dangote Refinery IPO to prioritize small-scale investors
Aliko Dangote, President of the Dangote Group, has announced that the Dangote Refinery Initial Public Offering (IPO) will prioritize small-scale investors. During a nationwide roadshow in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Dangote stated that individuals applying with ₦50,000 or less will receive priority consideration.
The initiative aims to democratize ownership of the refinery, which is considered one of Africa’s most significant industrial assets. While international and African investors have already committed substantial capital, Dangote emphasized that the IPO provides Nigerians a unique opportunity to participate directly in a project built on domestic soil.
Dangote described the investment as a way for Nigerians to support the country’s industrial capacity, corporate governance, and economic transformation. He encouraged prospective shareholders to view the offering as a long-term pathway to wealth creation and portfolio diversification.
