Dani Ceballos' Betis Return Stalled as Agent Switch Highlights Salary Limits
Midfielder Dani Ceballos became a free agent after terminating his contract with Real Madrid on 26 June. He has now joined LIAN Sports, the agency run by Fali Ramadani, which represents players such as Federico Chiesa and Luka Jović.
Real Betis president Ángel Haro reiterated that the club’s salary ceiling, already strained by the €10 million combined wages of Gio Lo Celso and Junior Firpo, leaves no room for a high‑paid addition. The club can only sign Ceballos if it generates revenue through player sales, a situation that has also delayed negotiations for other targets.
Betis continues to reshape its squad with signings like defender Facundo Bernal, but Ceballos’ comeback remains uncertain until the financial constraints are resolved.
