Dani Ceballos sparks controversy following Real Betis victory

Real Betis midfielder Dani Ceballos has drawn criticism from Recreativo de Huelva supporters following comments made after a 1-0 victory against Feyenoord. While celebrating Betis's progress from the second division to competing in European competitions, Ceballos referenced playing at the Recreativo de Huelva stadium ten years ago.

Fans have expressed frustration, labeling the remarks as disrespectful and arrogant. Additionally, reports indicate that Ceballos's recollection was inaccurate, as he never actually played an official match at the Nuevo Colombino stadium, having only been registered with the Betis reserve team during the 2014/2015 season when the teams met.

On the pitch, Ceballos's performance against Feyenoord was statistically strong. He maintained a 91% pass accuracy, completing 20 of 22 attempts, and contributed significantly to both possession and defensive efforts, recording three interceptions and four recoveries.
