Dani Martín cancels Barcelona concerts following father's death

Spanish singer Dani Martín has canceled two scheduled performances at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona, originally set for October 23 and 24, following the death of his father, José Manuel Martín.

Martín announced the news via social media, explaining that he had to travel urgently from Barcelona to Madrid to be with his father during his final moments. The artist described the experience of holding his father's hand as “the most healing” part of the grieving process.

In a tribute to his late father, the singer used the phrase “Vuela alto, capitán” (Fly high, captain), referencing one of his own songs. He expressed his apologies to his fans in Barcelona for the last-minute cancellation, noting that “sometimes life takes command.”
