Dani Olmo returns to Croatia ahead of Spain match

Dani Olmo has returned to Croatia ahead of the Nations League match between Spain and Croatia. The midfielder, who developed his career at Dinamo Zagreb after leaving La Masia, expressed deep gratitude for the country, noting that it helped him grow both as a footballer and a person.

Olmo previously declined opportunities to represent the Croatian national team, choosing instead to play for Spain. His connection to the region remains strong; through the Common Goal initiative, he has been making anonymous donations to support solidarity projects in Vukovar and Slavonski Brod, areas that were heavily impacted by the Balkan War.

His family also spent significant time in Croatia, where his father, Miquel Olmo, helped establish a padel club in Zagreb during the family's residency.
