FC Barcelona midfielder Dani Olmo sidelined by injury

FC Barcelona midfielder Dani Olmo is expected to be out for at least three to five weeks following an injury sustained during a UEFA Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain. The 27-year-old suffered a left adductor muscle injury after a collision during the first half of the match, which resulted in a 4-2 defeat for the Catalan club.

Olmo’s absence is a significant blow ahead of the upcoming El Clásico against Real Madrid. He is also expected to miss La Liga fixtures against Alavés and Atlético Madrid, as well as a Champions League match against Aston Villa. Furthermore, his availability for Spain’s upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against the Czech Republic and England remains uncertain.

Barcelona is facing a growing injury crisis; the squad will also be without defenders Eric García and Andreas Christensen, while Jules Koundé’s participation remains doubtful due to an ankle issue.
