Pecco Bagnaia faces performance crisis at Ducati

MotoGP rider Pecco Bagnaia is facing a significant performance crisis at Ducati, marked by three consecutive race retirements and repeated appearances in Q1 since the summer break. The Italian rider has struggled with a lack of rear grip on his GP26, a technical issue that Ducati has yet to resolve.

Former MotoGP champion Dani Pedrosa has advised Bagnaia to stop focusing on race results and instead prioritize regaining his riding feel and confidence. Pedrosa noted that constant preoccupation with standings and qualifying positions can lead to a negative mindset.

Adding to the concern, former Ducati rider Andrea Dovizioso expressed alarm regarding Bagnaia’s current state, citing the rider's visible distress. Tensions have also surfaced between Bagnaia and the team following reports that he is being restricted from testing certain standard setups on his motorcycle.
