Dani Rodríguez shines in first HNL start for Dinamo Zagreb

Dani Rodríguez has made a significant impact in his first HNL start for Dinamo Zagreb during a 5-1 victory against Slaven Belupo. The Spanish winger, a product of Barcelona’s La Masia academy, scored a goal in the 16th minute and earned a penalty for Dion Drena Beljo in the 31st minute.

After arriving from Barcelona this summer, Rodríguez faced an eight-month period of inactivity due to serious injuries. Dinamo coach Mario Kovačević noted that the player was not rushed back into action to ensure fitness. Following the performance, Kovačević compared the potential of the young winger to Lamine Yamal, expressing optimism about the tactical value of Spanish wingers in his squad.
