Daniel Asiedu joins Norwegian club Ranheim Fotball
Ghanaian defender Daniel Asiedu has signed a short-term contract with the Norwegian second-tier club Ranheim Fotball. The 21-year-old joins the team following his departure from Swiss club FC Basel.
Ranheim Sports Director Kare Ingebrigtsen noted that the club sought a left-footed centre-back with physical robustness and defensive presence. Describing Asiedu as a ‘powerhouse’ standing nearly two meters tall, Ingebrigtsen highlighted his untapped potential.
Asiedu has been training with Ranheim since August, allowing the club to evaluate him closely. The current deal runs until the end of the year, with an option for Ranheim to extend the contract if his performance meets expectations. He is expected to make his debut against Egersund this Friday.
