Daniel Caballero undertakes 80km challenge in Colombia for childhood cancer

Athlete Daniel Caballero is undertaking an 80-kilometer challenge in Colombia to raise funds and awareness for childhood cancer. The solidarity initiative, titled ‘Por mí y por los que no pueden’, will take place from Friday through Sunday, covering iconic landscapes including Salento, the mountains of Quindío, and the Cocora Valley.

The 80-kilometer distance is symbolic, representing the 80% survival rate for children with cancer when provided with adequate diagnosis and treatment, according to the World Health Organization. The project aims to support research, diagnosis, and treatment through the ‘Asociación Cambiando Vidas con Elsa’. To date, the initiative has raised approximately 6,000 euros.
