Daniel Chapo emphasizes legal certainty for Mozambique investment
President Daniel Chapo has emphasized that legal certainty is a fundamental component of the infrastructure required to attract investment and sustain economic development in Mozambique. Speaking in Vilankulo, Chapo noted that respected contracts, timely conflict resolution, and the protection of community rights are critical factors for the district, where tourism and natural resources are growing in importance.
During the official opening of the new Vilankulo District Judicial Court building, the President argued that the judiciary must serve as a guarantee for citizens, communities, and investors by providing predictable rules and capable institutions. He stated, “There is no competitive tourism without legal security. There is no sustainable investment without legal predictability.”
In addition to discussing judicial reform, the President met with over two thousand women in the district, promising to expand financing mechanisms aimed at promoting female economic autonomy.
