Daniel Dubois defeats Fabio Wardley in heavyweight rematch

Daniel Dubois secured a dominant victory over Fabio Wardley in their heavyweight rematch at The O2 Arena, successfully defending his WBO world heavyweight title. The bout ended early in the second round after Dubois landed a powerful right hand in the opening 20 seconds that left Wardley unable to recover. The towel was thrown in the following round.

This result follows their previous encounter in Manchester in May, where Dubois also secured a stoppage victory after recovering from early knockdowns. Analysts and figures in the sport, including Derek Chisora, noted that Wardley appeared unprepared for the rematch. Observers also pointed out tactical errors, specifically Wardley's use of a rear uppercut that left him vulnerable to Dubois' counter-punches.
