Daniel Dubois seeks major fights following Wardley victory

Following a dominant two-round stoppage of Fabio Wardley, WBO heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois has called for “big money and big fights.” Promoter Frank Warren indicated a return for Dubois is planned for February, though an opponent has not yet been finalized.

Filip Hrgovic, the IBF heavyweight champion, has expressed interest in a unification bout with Dubois to avenge his 2024 defeat. However, Hrgovic must first fulfill his mandatory obligations. His management expects his next fight to be against Frank Sanchez, likely taking place in Croatia.

While a unification match remains a high-interest possibility, sanctioning body requirements for both champions may dictate the immediate boxing schedules for Dubois and Hrgovic.
