Daniel Křetínský reduces stake in PostNL to 29.64 percent

Daniel Křetínský has reported a reduced stake in PostNL. According to a filing under the Dutch Financial Supervision Act, his interest has decreased to 29.64 percent, down from 31.40 percent in November 2022.

Despite the percentage decrease, the total number of shares held by Křetínský remains unchanged at approximately 153.1 million. A PostNL spokesperson noted that Křetínský was not required to make a mandatory bid for all remaining shares when his stake was above 30 percent because his voting rights remained below that threshold.

Křetínský controls Vesa Equity Investment, an international investment vehicle that also acquired the British company Royal Mail in 2024. The notification was originally dated May 7 but has only recently appeared in the register of the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM).
