Daniel Křetínský's EP Group ranks 179 in Fortune Global 500

The EP Group (EPG), led by Czech entrepreneur Daniel Křetínský, became the first Czech‑based company to enter the Fortune Global 500, landing at position 179. The ranking is based on annual revenue; EPG reported $75.387 billion in sales for the most recent fiscal year, roughly 1.6 trillion Czech crowns.

EPG’s portfolio spans energy, logistics, retail and media assets, including stakes in Britain’s Royal Mail, Slovak power plants and Germany’s wholesale operator Makro, as well as ownership of Czech publishing titles such as Blesk and Reflex. Its inclusion signals the firm’s rise into the global corporate elite, surpassing well‑known brands such as Intel, Pfizer and Nike in the revenue‑based list.
