Daniel Kofi Kyereh joins VfL Osnabrück on free transfer

Ghanaian international Daniel Kofi Kyereh has joined German second-tier club VfL Osnabrück on a free transfer. The 30-year-old attacker arrives following a prolonged injury layoff that interrupted his tenure with Bundesliga side SC Freiburg.

Kyereh reunites with coach Timo Schultz, with whom he previously enjoyed a successful period at FC St. Pauli. During that time, he recorded 21 goals and 20 assists in 62 2. Bundesliga appearances. Osnabrück Technical Director Daniel Latkowski expressed confidence in Kyereh’s ability to influence matches through his technical skill and goal-scoring capabilities.

To manage his return to fitness, the club intends to carefully monitor his workload. The decision to sign the player was supported by detailed physical assessments conducted by Head of Performance Sebastian Schwermann. Kyereh, who has earned 18 caps for Ghana and appeared in the 2022 FIFA World Cup, will wear the number 7 jersey.
