Daniel Lissing stars in new Hallmark film Aussie at Heart

Actor Daniel Lissing has returned to the Hallmark Channel with the new film ‘Aussie at Heart’, which premiered on August 15. The project marks a departure from his previous Hallmark roles, as it is not a Christmas-themed movie.

Set in Queensland, Australia, the film stars Lissing alongside Rhiannon Fish. The plot follows Samara, a lawyer turned event planner, who reunites with her former colleague and rival, Nate, to organize an anniversary celebration. As they work together, the characters confront their shared history and develop a romantic connection.

Lissing, an Australian actor, previously gained significant recognition for his role as Jack Thornton on ‘When Calls the Heart’ from 2014 to 2018. His return to the network in this new production allows him to perform with his natural accent.
