Paul Magnier wins fifth stage of CRO Race as Tobias Svarre leads

French cyclist Paul Magnier (Soudal Quick-Step) won the fifth stage of the CRO Race, a 164.5-kilometer route from Karlovac to Sveta Nedelja. Magnier repeated his success from the previous year by navigating the challenging ascent of Plešivica and winning a mass sprint. Rui Oliveira (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) finished second, followed by Tim Torn Teutenberg (Lidl-Trek).

Despite the stage result, Danish rider Tobias Svarre (Uno-X Mobility) maintained his lead in the general classification. Svarre holds a four-second advantage over Italy’s Antonio Tiberi (Bahrain Victorious) and an eight-second lead over Belgium’s Tim Wellens (UAE Team Emirates-XRG). Svarre also retains the white jersey for the best young rider.

Earlier in the race, Colombian Daniel Martinez (Red Bull-BORA-Hansgrohe) secured victory in the fourth stage from Pula to Rijeka after a competitive finish following the climb of Učka. The event, now part of the UCI ProSeries, continues toward its final stage from Samobor to Zagreb.
