Daniel Obajtek to lead Law and Justice economic platform

Daniel Obajtek, the former CEO of Orlen and current Member of the European Parliament for Law and Justice (PiS), is reportedly being positioned by the party to lead its economic platform. According to party insiders, Obajtek is expected to be responsible for the party’s economic plan in its election program, covering sectors such as taxation, housing, agriculture, and energy.

Recent financial disclosures highlight a significant increase in Obajtek’s personal wealth over the last decade. In 2014, while serving as the mayor of Pcim, he reported savings of 60,000 PLN. His latest declaration shows savings of approximately 920,000 PLN and 50,000 EUR, alongside valuable works of art. His career trajectory has moved from local government to leading major state institutions, including the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture and Energa, before his tenure at Orlen.
