Daniel Radeta leaves Croatia's SDP, criticises party's lack of courage

Zadar city councilor Daniel Radeta announced on Instagram that he is quitting the Social Democratic Party (SDP), saying the party no longer has the courage to pursue real political goals. He argued that politics should focus on public interest rather than internal party maneuvers, and he intends to continue his work as an independent councilor.

Erol Gaši, the newly elected president of the Zadar branch of SDP, responded on Facebook, expressing regret over Radeta’s departure and urging him to return the council mandate to the party. Gaši cited past instances where departing members restored their mandates and stressed that the SDP will continue its programme regardless of individual changes.
