The Thailand Court of Appeal has upheld the life imprisonment sentence for Daniel Sancho regarding the premeditated murder of Edwin Arrieta. The ruling, announced on September 25, maintains the original sentence issued in August 2024 and rejects the defense's request for a retrial.

Following the decision, which was delivered via videoconference from Surat Thani prison, Sancho is reportedly considering a change in his legal team. The defense now faces its final ordinary recourse: an appeal to the Supreme Court of Thailand, known as the San Dika, located in Bangkok.
