Daniel Sancho requested 100,000 euros from mother in leaked audio

Leaked audio recordings have revealed a conversation between Daniel Sancho, currently serving a life sentence in Thailand for the murder of Edwin Arrieta, and his mother, Silvia Bronchalo. In the recordings, Sancho requested approximately 100,000 euros to facilitate a scheme involving land in Thailand that he claimed could lead to his release from prison.

According to the reports, Sancho suggested that the funds be used in connection with a person named Alice to navigate the judicial process. When Bronchalo questioned the legality of the proposal, she sought advice from legal specialists. These experts reportedly warned her that the request was “pure blackmail,” leading her to decline the payment.

Sancho, who was convicted in 2024, indicated that he believed there were various ways to secure his freedom, claiming that multiple individuals had approached him with such possibilities. He remains in the Surat Thani maximum-security prison and is looking toward a potential appeal to the Supreme Court of Thailand.
