Daniel Santos begins transition process for Pará government

Governor-elect Daniel Santos of the Podemos party has officially requested the start of the transition process from current Governor Hana Ghassan. The transition team consists of 24 members, coordinated by Ed Wilson Dias e Silva, with legal coordination managed by João Luís Brasil Batista Rolim de Castro.

The team covers critical administrative and financial sectors, including Planning (Seplad), Finance (Sefa), the State Attorney General's Office, Banpará, Cosanpa, and various public companies and autarchies. It also includes oversight for health, security, infrastructure, social assistance, culture, and the environment.

While the transition team is established, the full cabinet remains largely unannounced, with the exception of Vinícius Borba, who was named Secretary of the Environment on October 9. The current administration has stated its commitment to ensuring the continuity of public services and has requested that the State Court of Accounts monitor the transition proceedings.
