Daniel Vorcaro discussed purchasing 20% stake in Palmeiras stadium
Former banker Daniel Vorcaro expressed interest in acquiring a 20% stake in the stadium used by Palmeiras, currently known as Nubank Parque (formerly Allianz Parque). According to messages obtained by the Federal Police, negotiations were discussed in August 2024 between Vorcaro and attorney Walfrido Warde, who also represents the construction firm WTorre.
At the time of the discussions, the stadium was valued at R$ 1.7 billion, which would place a 20% share at approximately R$ 340 million. Vorcaro indicated receptiveness to the idea but raised questions regarding existing debts related to the venue. Warde noted that debts were linked to BTG and that negotiations with Palmeiras were underway to settle them.
While the messages show Vorcaro was open to the investment, there is no confirmation that the negotiations resulted in a formal proposal or a completed sale. Palmeiras has stated it was unaware of the negotiations and clarified that stadium management is the responsibility of WTorre.
