Daniel Vorcaro faces Federal Police interrogations over banking fraud

Former banker Daniel Vorcaro is scheduled to undergo two interrogations by the Federal Police regarding massive financial irregularities involving Banco Master and the Banco de Brasília (BRB). The first hearing, conducted via videoconference from a detention facility in Brasília, is set for Thursday. A second interrogation is planned for next week to investigate alleged credit letter frauds totaling R$ 12 billion.

Investigations are examining a potential relationship between Vorcaro and the former president of BRB, Paulo Henrique Costa, including suspected bribes reaching R$ 150 million. Additionally, authorities are looking into the transfer of R$ 61 million to a Texas-based fund, Havengate, following allegations involving Senator Flávio Bolsonaro.

Vorcaro’s new legal counsel is seeking a meeting with Supreme Court Minister André Mendonça to discuss a potential plea bargain agreement with the Federal Police or the Prosecutor General’s Office, attempting to reopen negotiations that had previously been closed.
