Daniel Vorcaro and Banco Master investigation implicates high-level officials

The Federal Police (PF) have released detailed reports regarding the 'Master Case' investigation involving former banker Daniel Vorcaro, the controller of Banco Master. The investigation has uncovered several high-level allegations involving Brazilian authorities.

PF investigators suggest that Supreme Court Minister Dias Toffoli may be the de facto owner of the Arleen investment fund, which received R$ 35 million from Vorcaro. The fund's assets were reportedly transferred to an offshore holding, Egide I, in the British Virgin Islands. Additionally, Vorcaro is suspected of having advance knowledge of the 'Compliance Zero' operation that led to his arrest.

The investigation also highlights corruption within the Central Bank. Former officials Belline Santana and Paulo Sérgio Neves de Souza are accused of receiving benefits, including monthly payments of up to R$ 500,000 and luxury trips to Paris and Disney, in exchange for leaking confidential information to Vorcaro.

Furthermore, a R$ 131.3 million contract was identified between Banco Master and the law firm of Viviane Barci de Moraes, wife of Supreme Court Minister Alexandre de Moraes. The contract allegedly covered strategic consultancy regarding investigations by the Federal Police and other regulatory bodies.

Finally, the PF described Vorcaro's use of two specialized groups: 'The Gang' for physical intimidation and 'The Boys' for digital hacking and monitoring.
