Daniel Vorcaro linked to Bolsonaro and Neymar family in Banco Master probe
Federal Police investigation into the Banco Master scandal has revealed intercepted messages involving banker Daniel Vorcaro, Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, and Neymar da Silva Santos, the father of footballer Neymar Jr. The messages, released via reports from CartaCapital, suggest that lobbyist Thiago Miranda acted as an intermediary to resolve pending negotiations.
One negotiation involved a potential R$ 15 million sponsorship for Santos FC, where Banco Master would occupy three spaces on the club's uniform. Another matter concerned the financing of ‘Dark Horse’, a film about the political trajectory of Jair Bolsonaro, which reportedly received up to R$ 61 million in transfers from Vorcaro.
Additionally, messages from late 2024 show Vorcaro expressing concern over a potential meeting with Jair and Flávio Bolsonaro, referring to it as a ‘Bolsonaro meeting’ and requesting strict secrecy to avoid personal consequences. Neymar Jr. and his father have officially denied any connection to Vorcaro, labeling the reports as ‘fake news’ through a joint statement with NR Sports.
