Brazil Federal Police investigate Daniel Vorcaro and 'A Turma' group
The Brazilian Federal Police (PF) are investigating a group known as ‘A Turma’, suspected of acting as a private militia for former Banco Master owner Daniel Vorcaro. The investigation focuses on several fronts, including financial fraud, institutional corruption involving Central Bank employees, money laundering, and the intimidation of perceived enemies.
Fabiano Zettel, Vorcaro’s brother-in-law, was scheduled to testify regarding his alleged role as a financial operator for the group, responsible for executing illicit payments and creating fictitious contracts. However, his testimony was postponed to October 29, with officials citing internet connectivity issues. Zettel is accused of facilitating the group’s surveillance and intimidation activities.
Digital forensics from Vorcaro’s mobile device have revealed extensive interactions with political figures. Data shows that 71% of his communications were with individuals linked to former President Jair Bolsonaro’s administration, including former ministers Fábio Faria and Ciro Nogueira. Other significant contacts include influencer Pablo Marçal and federal deputy Nikolas Ferreira.
