Daniel Vorcaro's sister alleges torture in Brasília prison

Natália Vorcaro Zettel, the sister of former Banco Master owner Daniel Vorcaro, has released an audio recording alleging that her brother was tortured while held in a maximum security annex of the Brasília Federal Penitentiary. According to the recording, Vorcaro was deprived of food, water, and external contact, and was subjected to constant 24-hour flashing lights during a 13-day period in a 9-square-meter cell.

Vorcaro is currently serving his sentence in a 54-square-meter individual cell at the Papuda Complex in Brasília. His sister claims he is in a state of panic and is fearful of being returned to maximum security conditions. She stated that while he is willing to cooperate and confess to assist investigations, he feels his attempts to do so have been ignored.

To date, Vorcaro has submitted two plea bargain proposals, both of which were rejected by the Federal Police and the Prosecutor General's Office. He is reportedly working with legal counsel to prepare a third proposal. The investigations follow the extrajudicial liquidation of Banco Master by the Central Bank in November 2025.
