Daniela Darcourt concert controversy in Barcelona sparks artist dispute

During the Peru Salsa All Stars festival in Barcelona, singer Daniela Darcourt exceeded her allotted performance time. Organizers asked her to leave the stage, but she refused, leading to tension with the event producers.

Wilmer Cartagena, who was scheduled to close the show, said the delay threatened his contract and could cost him a fine of about €2,500, endangering his family’s income. He arranged with fellow performer Josimar to shorten his set and keep the schedule. Producer Alex Rojas ultimately paid the penalty for the overtime.

Darcourt later posted an Instagram video defending herself, blaming production disorganization and rejecting claims that she was being egocentric. She emphasized respect for her team and denied seeking victim status, while Cartagena expressed respect for Darcourt despite the clash.
