Daniela Spalla and Los Ángeles Azules release cumbia version of ‘Lejos de la Ciudad’

Argentine artist Daniela Spalla and the Mexican musical group Los Ángeles Azules have released a new cumbia version of the song ‘Lejos de la Ciudad’. Originally released in January 2024, the track became a digital phenomenon, reaching the Spotify Viral Top in more than 18 countries and topping viral charts across Mexico and Latin America.

The collaboration adapts Spalla’s romantic pop composition into the signature musical style of the Iztapalapa-based group. This follows a previous version of the song released with Camilo. Spalla, who was recently nominated for a Latin GRAMMY in the Best Traditional Pop Album category, has established a significant presence within the Mexican music scene.
