Daniela Taurino leads animal welfare day in Santa Lucía del Camino

Local deputy Daniela Taurino led an animal welfare day in the Felipe Carrillo Puerto neighborhood of Santa Lucía del Camino, Oaxaca. The initiative provided free sterilization services for dogs and cats to more than 100 families in the District XII area.

This event is part of a series of over 30 animal welfare actions conducted in the district, which include free vaccination and deworming services. Taurino emphasized that protecting companion animals helps build more responsible and solidary communities. The program also involved César Aragón, the Director of Ecology for Santa Lucía del Camino, who discussed animal mistreatment prevention. Taurino noted she is also promoting an initiative in the Congress to establish Animal Welfare Courts in all 570 municipalities of Oaxaca.
