Daniela Zuccoli criticizes Mediaset regarding Mike Bongiorno legacy

Daniela Zuccoli, widow of the late Italian television host Mike Bongiorno, has expressed criticism toward Mediaset in a recent interview with Corriere della Sera’s Sette supplement. Zuccoli stated that the company failed to respond to a proposal she made following Bongiorno’s death, which involved creating a charitable initiative using his image.

Reflecting on her 40-year marriage and their three children, Zuccoli also discussed Bongiorno’s relationship with Silvio Berlusconi, noting that Berlusconi was the godfather to their son, Leonardo. She described Bongiorno as a man of great honesty who supported Berlusconi as a friend.

Zuccoli also revisited the traumatic period following Bongiorno’s passing, including the theft of his remains and the family's decision to choose cremation to prevent further disturbance. She recalled the intense media coverage and the emotional toll the incident took on the family.
