She described how she felt responsible for her family's economic stability due to her success, noting that she often had to adapt to family conflicts, including her parents' divorce and her father's alcoholism. Mastricchio recounted the difficulty of maintaining a public persona of happiness while dealing with private instability, stating that she felt she had to keep everyone else comfortable at her own expense.

After experiencing a period of significant loss, including the disappearance of her earnings from her years of fame, Mastricchio has since rebuilt her life. She is currently working as a professional coach, an author, and a mother of four.
