Daniella Monet returns as Trina Vega in ‘Hollywood Arts’ spinoff

Daniella Monet is reprising her role as Trina Vega in the Netflix spinoff series ‘Hollywood Arts’, a follow-up to the Nickelodeon show ‘Victorious’. In the new series, Trina returns to her former performing arts school as an unqualified substitute teacher, where she interacts with a new generation of students.

Monet noted the intensive casting process, which involved reviewing over 5,700 submissions to assemble the new ensemble. She expressed a desire to support the young cast members as they begin their careers.

The series also features the return of Matt Bennett as Robbie. The storyline explores a new dynamic between Trina and Robbie, despite Robbie’s romantic history with the character Cat in the original series. The character of Robbie is depicted as moving overseas to New Zealand for work, which impacts his potential romantic connection with Trina.
