Daniil Medvedev and Elena Rybakina secure recent tennis titles

In the closing stages of the 2026 tennis season, Daniil Medvedev won the Almaty Open, defeating Nikoloz Basilashvili in the final. This victory marks Medvedev’s 25th career title and represents the first time he has successfully defended a tour-level title.

On the WTA Tour, Elena Rybakina defended her Ningbo Open title, marking her fourth trophy of the year and strengthening her position for the WTA Finals. Conversely, Iga Swiatek has ended her 2026 season early after withdrawing from the Ningbo Open due to a left thigh injury, ruling her out of the season-ending championships.

Other notable results include Lorenzo Musetti winning the Lyon title by defeating Taylor Fritz, and Tallon Griekspoor capturing the ATP 250 title in Brussels. The eight-player field for the WTA Finals is now finalized, including players such as Aryna Sabalenka, Coco Gauff, and Jessica Pegula.
