Daniil Medvedev has entered the Cincinnati Open with a new coaching partnership on a trial basis. The former world number one is working with Andrey Golubev, a former professional player who retired in 2024. Golubev reached a career-high of 33 in singles and 21 in doubles.

Medvedev is seeking to stabilize his recent form following a difficult period, including a straight-sets loss to Botic van de Zandschulp at the Canadian Open.
