Daniil Trifonov to perform in Lima amid Peruvian classical music developments

Russian pianist Daniil Trifonov is scheduled to perform a solo recital at the Teatro Municipal de Lima on October 26. The Grammy winner and Deutsche Grammophon artist is currently engaged in an active international period, including the upcoming release of ‘Mi Historia Americana – Sur’ on October 2, which explores Latin American and Caribbean repertoire.

Additionally, the 2026 edition of the Musicantes Festival will feature over 30 Peruvian composers. The festival, which aims to promote contemporary classical music, will include approximately ten concerts and artistic projects spanning from August to November. The programming features composers from various regions, including Lima, Arequipa, Cusco, and Trujillo, with performances scheduled in Peru, the United States, and Argentina.
