Danilo emerges as key offensive scorer for Botafogo

Danilo dos Santos has emerged as a key offensive contributor for Botafogo during the 2026 Brasileirão season. Despite playing as a defensive midfielder, Danilo has recorded 13 goals total for the year, with 10 of those coming in the league competition.

In a recent match against Coritiba, Danilo scored the equalizer in a 1-1 draw following an assist from Cristian Medina. His ability to advance into the penalty area has provided a necessary scoring alternative for the team amidst low production from the primary forwards.
