Danilo Gentili reveals unheard audio of Silvio Santos

During a special broadcast celebrating the 45th anniversary of the SBT network, comedian Danilo Gentili revealed previously unheard audio of a conversation with the late broadcaster Silvio Santos.

The recording dates back to 2014, capturing a backstage moment from Gentili’s first day at the network. In the audio, which was recorded by an assistant, Silvio Santos offered praise to the comedian, noting the high viewership numbers and stating, “You are beating Globo, your audience is very good, it worked out very well.”

Gentili shared the moment while hosting Daniela Beyruti, the current president of SBT and daughter of Silvio Santos, on his program ‘The Noite’. The comedian recounted feeling nervous during the initial encounter, noting that the legendary presenter had also expressed satisfaction with Beyruti’s decision to bring him to the network.
