Danilo Pereira cedes number 9 jersey to Tiquinho at Botafogo

Botafogo striker Danilo Pereira has voluntarily relinquished the number 9 jersey to teammate Tiquinho Soares. Pereira decided to offer the number to honor Tiquinho’s history and previous successes with the club between 2022 and 2024.

In an interview, Pereira stated that while Tiquinho was prepared to wear number 18, it felt incorrect for him not to wear the number associated with his significant achievements at Botafogo. Pereira noted that he contacted the club's management to make the jersey available, stating he made the decision from the heart due to Tiquinho's importance to the fans and the institution.
